The workbench enables verification professionals to work in a distributed fashion, assisted by the automated algorithms for cross-modal content verification and social network analysis. Through the workbench, journalists are able to improve their productivity with the help of continuously improving machine intelligence, trained seamlessly as a side effect of their work. TruthNest (ATC’s tool for Twitter analytics) is also enhanced and will be connected to the workbench to provide extensive information to the user when Twitter content is investigated.
The workbench will be integrated into Truly Media the commercial collaborative verification platform co-developed and co-owned by ATC and DW. Truly Media was developed in 2016 under a Google DNI fund and was commercially available in early 2018. In September 2019, ATC released a new version of the platform adding several new functionalities and revamping Truly Media’s User Interface.
